LUXOV® is proud to be part of Sport Climbing’s first Olympic debut that will finally take place this summer from 3-6 August 2021 in Tokyo, Japan!

As a preferred partner of the International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC), the governing body of sport climbing, LUXOV® will furnish the official speed climbing walls in Aomi Urban Sports Park with their black Touch Speed holds.

LUXOV® Touch Speed holds are interactive and compliant with the IFSC’s speed climbing hold standards. This system makes it possible to measure how fast climbers move up the wall to easily follow their progress by detecting their touch and collecting grip data.

“This year, we are celebrating two new things: the debut of climbing at the Olympic Games and LUXOV®’s first participation at this global event. We are very proud to be part of the competition and to contribute to climbing’s international influence.” said LUXOV® president, Denis Garnier.

The innovative LUXOV® Touch Speed system was previously featured at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires 2018, where three touch-sensitive holds were used at the start, middle, and end of the speed routes. LUXOV®’s goal is for this system to become the standard in all official speed competitions.
